Common Questions
How long does a painting usually take?
Because I work primarily in oils, timing is everything. A custom oil piece typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from the first sketch to being dry enough to seal/hang. Acrylics and watercolors move a bit faster, usually ready in about 2 to 3 weeks. If you have a specific deadline (like a birthday or anniversary), just let me know and I’ll do my best to make it happen.
Do you offer framing?
All canvases and paper prints are sold unframed, unless we have discussed otherwise. However, if you need advice on what style of frame would make your new piece pop, feel free to ask.
Can you work from multiple reference photos?
Definitely. If you have a great photo of a person but want them in a different setting, or if you want to combine two photos into one family portrait, we can absolutely make it work. Just send over what you have and we’ll brainstorm the best composition together.
I have a "random" idea—can you do it?
Honestly, those are some of my favorite projects. If you have a weird concept, a specific color palette, or a "just because" idea that doesn't fit a standard category, shoot me a message. I’m always down for a creative challenge.
